Boxes include CDs of interviews and folders containing printed transcripts and signed release forms. Any digital files are located in digital folder “UHC347_CentennialOralHistories.” The “Audio” subfolder are the Interviews, and the “Transcripts” subfolder are the interview transcripts. Also included is an excel file of narrators (the person being interviewed) for oral histories.

Interview Description: George discusses dress codes, the athletic department, why he came to UWEC, being in the Navy and going to school, bargaining his salary, being a property assessor, and the cost of attending UWEC. This interview references Sweeds, snake dance (Homecoming), Colonel Simpson, Dr. Hibbard, Dr. Schneider, Quonset huts, Clarence Imulson, Schofield/Old Main, barracks, DeLong School (said as Longfellow in transcript), bicycles, campus school, Zorn Arena, and Kappa Delta Phi.

Interview Description: Stephen gives a synopsis of his life and then discusses football, the buildings on campus, gender divisions, finals week, working while going to school, cost of going to school, sports, Letterman, the quality of education, and the relationships between students and staff, parking, the student union in the bottom of Schofield Hall and working at the University. This interview references Abe Olsen, Peace Corp, President Kennedy, freshman beanies, Coach Jim Rice, Coach Bill Zorn, Coach Anderson, the Forum, Art Series, and the Vietnam War.

Interview Description: Lanna discusses being in the nursing program and working at Luther hospital, why she chose to come to Eau Claire, gender in nursing during the 60’s & 80’s, skiing class, students now using ear buds, using typewriters, working while going to school, living on campus vs. living off campus, school tuition, energy conservation, communication, and curfews at Luther hospital. This interview references the Cold War, John Kennedy, LGBT, nursing and parking.
