University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire commencement materials ranging from 1917 when the first commencement was held for Eau Claire State Normal School in June 1917 to the present. Much of the collection contains commencement day programs with schedules for commencement and other related events. The programs document speakers, music, graduates, degrees granted, and the order of events at commencement. The following programs are missing: 4th annual commencement (1920), 6th annual commencement (1922), and 76th spring commencement (May 1992). The collection also contains information about baccalaureate service programs, honors week and honors day materials, the history of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire hood, graduation accounting reports for 1973-1981 (1974 is missing), and other materials ranging from 1961-1977 of commencement correspondence, policies, procedures, Commencement Committee meeting minutes, ceremony list of activities, seating charts, processional diagrams, commencement marshal procedures, and senior class fund for a carillon.
