Documents showing conveyance of real estate, which include deeds and may include warranties, tax deeds, and foreclosure documents. Entries show names of persons involved in land transfer, legal description of land, and amount paid. The indexes contain names of grantors (sellers) and grantees (purchasers) noted in the real estate deeds. Indexes show date and time the deed was recorded, names of grantor and grantee, type of instrument, description of the property, and volume and page number of the deed record where the instrument is recorded. The processed portion of this series dates 1854-1892, and is described in the register. There are additional accessions dating 1854-1964 held at the Wisconsin Historical Society in Madison, Wisconsin. The microfilm in the additional accessions is restricted and is security microfilm on deposit which is not available for public use. The records creator is responsible for providing public access.
