The tax roll typically gives a description of the property, the name of the owner, assessed valuation, tax levied, and a record of payments. All records prior to 1870 have been preserved. Every tenth year from 1870 to 1940 has been preserved, and every fifth year from 1945-2000 has been preserved. Holdings for 1940 are incomplete. Records are arranged by year and thereunder by property description for real estate and by the owner's name for personal property.
