Personal and business papers of James Newman Clark (1842-1928), a farmer, taxidermist, and ornithologist in Meridean, Wisconsin. Clark was an interested bird watcher and self-trained taxidermist, and he kept careful notes on correct identification of specimens. Clark’s ornithology collection was donated to the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in 1959 where it was displayed in L.E. Phillips Science Hall.
