The collection is divided into four series: Series 1 contains UWA yearbooks and scrapbooks with newspaper clippings and photographs; Series 2 contains Newsletters of UWA News and Et Cetera; Series 3 contains Administrative Records including bylaws, membership records, and financial records; and Series 4 is Miscellaneous papers about special projects, fall receptions, fundraising, interest groups, anniversaries, photographs, etc.

Biographical/Historical Note
The University Women’s Association was founded in the mid-1950s. The organization’s original name was the Faculty Wives Association. Its name was changed to the University Women’s Association around 1970. The association promotes social and cultural relations among the wives of the faculty, female administrative staff, and the faculty women of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The association initially began as a social organization, but later undertook fundraising and scholarships.
