This collections contains the organizational, business, and financial records of the national honorary dramatic fraternity National Collegiate Players, Pi Epsilon Delta. The papers include correspondence and memorandums between the organization’s national, regional, and local officers and executives, pamphlets relating the history of NCP, NCP’s Constitution and By-Laws, attendance records, meeting minutes, membership applications, financial records, event itineraries, annual reports, chapter rolls, and membership rosters.

Biographical/Historical Note
The National Collegiate Players Pi Epsilon Delta is an honorary dramatic fraternity founded to encourage all phases of dramatic endeavor. The first chapter of Pi Epsilon Delta was established on June 8, 1919, at the University of Wisconsin. In June 1922, the Associated University Players, another National Organization, founded in 1913 at the University of Illinois, joined with Pi Epsilon Delta and adopted the name National Collegiate Players. According to their Constitution, the purpose of the National Collegiate Players is “To stand as a college unit in national movements for the betterment and welfare of drama and the theatre in the United States, and to raise the standards of college and university theaters by recognizing the most worthy individual and group efforts in the creative arts of the theatre” Since 1922, the organization has experienced steady growth with chapters sprouting up all over the country. The Eau Claire State College began its chapter in 1947.
