The association records are divided into four series. Series 1 of Publications includes brochures, flyers, pamphlets of I.A.A.P. events and other miscellaneous events attended by members, and Eau Claire and Chippewa Valley Chapter Bulletins. Series 2 of Meeting Minutes includes meeting minutes from Board of Directors and Chapter meetings. Series 3 of Organization Files includes various forms, annual and committee reports, evaluations and other association documents, correspondence, memberships records, member biographies, by-laws, event information, budget information, newspaper clippings, etc. Series 4 is Scrapbooks ranging from 1976-1985 created by local chapter members which include event flyers, correspondence, goals and priorities, photographs of members, reports, miscellaneous newspaper clippings, chapter awards, etc. Series 1, 2, and 3 include digital materials ranging from 2007-2015.

Biographical/Historical Note
The International Association of Administrative Professionals was founded in 1942 as the National Secretaries Association. The Association strived to provide a professional network and educational resources for secretarial staff. The association’s name was changed in 1998 to the International Association of Administrative Professionals to encompass the growing number of jobs within the field. These records document the activities of the Eau Claire (later named the Chippewa Valley) chapter of the association, which was established in 1971. The chapter attempted to professionalize secretarial work through education, organization, and the creation of a sense of community.
