Content Description

The collection consists of materials documenting the Beta Sigma chapter of Delta Pi Epsilon. The collection includes correspondence, photographs, conference notes, and miscellaneous reports. Also included are scrapbooks which contain meeting minutes, programs, captioned photographs, historians’ reports, and financial statements. Also includes miscellaneous ephemera such as a gavel, banners, and wooden Greek letters.

Biographical/Historical Note

Delta Pi Epsilon was founded in 1936 at New York University as a national graduate honorary society for male and female business professionals. University of Wisconsin--Eau Claire professor Lorraine Missling founded the Beta Sigma Chapter in the 1970s. The chapter was quite active from 1984-1994, sponsoring speakers and program and inducting new members. Activity declined in the mid 1990s; the chapter seems to have become defunct in 1997.
